Our client is a Vancouver-based Real Estate Developer seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations. Reporting to the Principal, the role involves collaborating with various departments, external accountants, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly organized, reliable, and adaptable to changing priorities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Transition accounting functions in-house, including selecting and implementing accounting software.
- Oversee full-cycle accounting for real estate development projects.
- Manage a small team of accountants, handling reports, budgets, payroll, and vendor reconciliations.
- Prepare financial statements and assist with year-end reporting, tax compliance, and corporate reporting.
- Manage treasury functions, cash flow forecasting, and provide operational recommendations.
- Assist with financial analysis and ad-hoc finance tasks.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- 5+ years of experience in real estate development accounting.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Yardi Voyager is a MUST
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
