Accounting Manager

Job Description Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading a team of accounting professionals.

This role requires a strong understanding of GAAP, governmental accounting, and corporate accounting practices. The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization while mentoring junior staff members. Duties Oversee all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory reporting standards. Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accurate account management. Manage budgeting processes and provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Mentor and train accounting staff to enhance their skills and professional growth. Implement and maintain financial software systems, including QuickBooks, to improve efficiency and accuracy in reporting. Ensure compliance with all governmental accounting regulations and internal policies.

Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and prepare necessary documentation. This position requires full time in office. Experience Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role in corporate accounting.

Strong knowledge of financial software applications; proficiency in Excel is essential. Experience with bank reconciliation processes and regulatory reporting requirements. Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus.

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Strong leadership abilities with a focus on mentoring team members. Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
