Accounting Manager

Scalepex has teamed up with a growing Healthcare firm to bring on an Accounting Manager to help lead their team. They have grown tremendously over the last few years and need someone that can bring leadership to the accounting team.

They work in a hybrid work environment. and looking for an Accounting Manager with healthcare experience, 3+ years in management.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the accounting team, overseeing various functions including accounts payable, general ledger, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing annual audit workpapers and conducting reconciliations.
• Evaluate current accounting practices and procedures, suggesting enhancements for efficiency and automation.
• Manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring timely completion of expenses, journal entries, and reconciliations by the fifth business day.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and projects as needed.
• Foster staff development by monitoring performance, setting objectives, offering ongoing training, and nurturing strong employee relationships.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with substantial experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Preferably possess experience in the healthcare sector.
• Proficient in U.S. GAAP.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels effectively.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a commitment to achieving set goals.
• Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly growing environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with NetSuite and Intercompany journal entries is advantageous.
