Senior Accountant performs full cycle month end close duties for multiple venues as well as comprehensive analytical work in various management areas including financial reporting. He/she will interface directly with location General Managers to drive better financial performance and must possess a solid understanding of GAAP.


Accounting functions:

  • Responsible for full month end closing for multiple restaurants

  • Processes monthly accruals, prepaids, depreciation/amortization, etc.

  • Review all inter-company and related party transactions and generate invoices as necessary

  • Reconciles balance sheet accounts

  • Generates financial statements for month end close

  • Assists with cash management for assigned venues

  • Posts daily sales, cash deposits, and bank transfers

Financial Analysis:

  • Analyzes budgetary, financial, and statistical data and makes recommendations on the basis of conclusions derived from such analyses.

  • Analyzes and verifies monthly financial reports for all venues

  • Participates in the budget process for their respected venues

Accounts Payable:

  • Prepares allocations for multi-location invoices

  • Selects checks for weekly check run

  • Works with third party accounts payable company to reconcile vendor accounts

  • Responds to any immediate vendor requests

General Duties:

  • Assists venue General Managers with accounting related issues

  • Assists with financial and tax audits

  • Handles special projects and creates customized reports as needed


  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in multi-entity Restaurants, or Hospitality accounting and/or finance is preferred

  • BA or BS Degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance required

  • 3-5 years total work experience in accounting is ideal

  • Experience with AVERO, CTUIT Radar, Navision and Intacct is a plus


This position will interface with various departments, vendors and clientele.

The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. He/she must be proficient with MS Office including strong knowledge of Excel, and have experience working with an integrated general ledger system package. He/she must also demonstrate strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills and exhibit composure and professionalism while under pressure. He/she must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting constant deadlines and maintaining strong attention to details.

This position reports to the Controller and is part of a small, nimble team. Responsibilities: * Prepare the month-end books by entity for all 7 operating subsidiaries as well as assisting with the consolidation of the monthly financials. * Ensure that all transactions are recorded in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). * Own the general ledger and ensure proper reconciliation of all accounts. * Maintain AP function including receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices. Prioritize invoices according to potential cash discount and payment terms. * Perform analysis on financial results monthly. Research and describe all variances in a concise and meaningful manner. * Assist with compiling data for the annual external audit and tax preparation. * Prepare and file various compliance requirements when needed. * Operating and making recommendations in order to keep a strong internal control environment. * Assist in streamlining month end close and financial reporting processes. * Identify and resolve operational and financial issues involving accounting policies, procedures and systems. * Maintain the fixed assets, prepaid expense, deferred financing, intangibles & capitalized software schedules and account for any additions/deletions and depreciation/amortization. * Assist in other duties assigned by the Controller or CFO. Requirements: * Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree * CPA a plus * Minimum 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience * Experience in a high transaction financial services environment preferred * Fortune 500 and or private startup company experience * Knowledge of US GAAP * NetSuite & Quickbooks Online Experience a plus * Experience performing month end close procedures including external/internal financial reporting * Ability and desire to work in a fast paced growth environment * Intermediate to Advanced excel skills * Intercompany reconciliation experience preferred * Experience with a NetSuite Implementation a plus Fastpay Los Angeles CA
