S3, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Accounting Manager to join the F&A team at our headquarters in Huntsville, AL.

Description:

The Accounting Manager reports to the Director of Finance and supports accounting management for OCONUS international operations, S3 International and its entities, inclusive of S3 Arabia (S3A).

The day to day accounting products include: Journal Entries, General Ledger maintenance, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Cash Flow, approving monthly invoices, and balance sheet reconciliations. Also coordinates with project teams in country to assist with income statement and balance sheet preparation for companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Review income statements and balance sheets.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for all company activities.
  • Prepare monthly Cash Receipts and Accounts Payables.
  • Prepare schedules for AR, AP, Budgets, and Cash Flow.
  • Reconcile all monthly Balance Sheet accounts (non-payroll related).
  • Analyze all financial data to identify trends, assess performance research and resolve all monthly variances.
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures in accordance with FAR/DAR.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable accounting regulations (GAAP, CASB) and reporting requirements.
  • Lead all audits.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience; Master Degree or CPA desired
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with Deltek Costpoint and Quickbooks.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting an International Company or Subsidiary for Month End, Financial Analysis, and Reconciliations
  • Progressive responsible experience for a major company of 800+ employees
  • Minimum of 5 years of Federal Contractor Accounting or Finance experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge utilizing functions such as Pivot tables, Vlookup, etc.
  • 10 years of OCONUS federal contract and accounting management.
