Key responsibilities Drive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet tight deadlines Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation and reconciliation processes Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies and procedures Collaborate with FP A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics and actual spend against budgets/outlook Regular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • 7+ years of recent relevant financial experience

  • Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • Expertise in financial reporting

  • Deep understanding of SOX - Public company reporting experience desired

  • CPA or MBA preferred

  • Solid technology and analytical abilities

Position Summary: As the Quality Systems Manager of the Global Audits Program, you will be accountable for providing leadership in the design, development, auditing & expansion of Quality Audit Management Systems practices. You will collaborate with the Director of Quality Systems to maintain a constant state of regulatory compliance with applicable domestic and international regulations, and corporate policies and procedures. The scope of the position includes external supplier audits, internal Corporate Quality audits, Regulatory audits, QMS compliance assessments, and Pharma Services Sponsor Audits of NeoGenomics Laboratories sites in US, Europe and Asia. In addition, you will ensure our NeoGenomics sites have robust inspection readiness plans in place to ensure smooth regulatory agency inspections and successful service offering. General core responsibilities * Lead the Corporate Audits colleagues, assuring an effective & strong audit function. * Ensure the adequacy of qualified resources within all areas of responsibility * Provide ongoing opportunities to collaborate and expand knowledge/skills to maximize QA employee's performance, achievement of company goals and job retention * Implementing and maintaining a comprehensive a compliant global quality audit program. * Deploy global strategies, policies, procedures, audit training program and tools for Quality Systems Audit Management Program * Support special projects in collaboration with functional team members; find opportunities for process improvement including developing and proposing solutions, proposing new processes and system enhancements and executing required activities. * Ensure readiness for and participate as Subject Matter Expert and functional leader during audits and inspections from regulators, notified bodies, other 3rd parties, and internal corporate audits * Perform evaluations of NeoGenomics' quality systems and practices to identify potential problems of non-conformance to applicable SOPs and quality standards (GLP, ICH, ISO, and FDA etc.) * Ensure all corrective/preventive actions, as assigned, or as assigned to team members are led to completion and effectively implemented. * Design, develop, and maintain program measures (KPIs) to assess the health and effectiveness of the Global Quality Audit Management Systems including presentation of data to QRB for Management Review Internal Audits (IA) * Develop audit plans/agendas for Corporate QMS compliance audits based on risk taking into account current regulatory focus and business strategy & needs. * Execute corporate internal audits, operations audits, Internal "For Cause Audits" as part of the Global Quality Management Systems function (as lead or co-assessor/auditor) * Produce timely, detailed and technically correct reports following audits * Communicate identified deficiencies and compliance risks to appropriate functional leaders, Executive Leadership Team and Quality Leadership Team * Advise and support the sites in devising and executing remediation actions to ensure compliance to NeoGenomics QMS expectations and requirements. * Approve proposed CAPA/ remediation plans, regularly review progress & effectiveness, and continue to give ongoing support in all matters * Complete and maintain the corporate internal audit documentation and follow-up/tracking system in MasterControl System Pharma Services Sponsor Audits * Facilitating Pharma Services sponsor audits onsite, and, desk audits where appropriate * Review and assess responses to sponsor audit reports, and ensure timely responses are submitted to sponsors * Provide transparency to the Quality Management System (QMS) during sponsor audits and other sponsor external regulatory audits e.g. FDA project specific audits * Lead pre-inspection activities for Pharma Services projects inspections * Conduct mock interviews for subject matter experts (SMEs) during inspection preparation * Reviewing, and analyzing regulatory inspection audits results data issued by regulatory authorities (e.g. MHRA, EMA, FDA) specific for sponsor specific projects * Provide as needed support for inspections at NeoGenomics Laboratories external clients (sponsors and investigator sites) * Schedule, prepare, conducts and reports assigned audits of the sponsor's projects and operational processes in accordance with approved Sponsor project specific procedures, schedules, Data Transfer Agreement, and formats. * Provide clear, accurate and concise advice on GCP and compliance related questions from Operational teams. Regulatory Audits * Conduct pre-approval/pre-submission project reviews (e.g. CDx projects), "mock" inspections as part of the regulatory assessment program. * In partnership with other NeoGenomics functions, review and provide input to commitments made to regulators following regulatory inspections. * Provide advice and on-site support to sites during regulatory inspections * Advise, guide and support sites in the overall regulatory inspection management. * Ensure all corrective/preventive actions, as assigned, or as assigned to team members are led to completion and effectively implemented QMS Compliance Risk Assessments * Perform regular analysis of regulatory observations made at NeoGenomics sites, prepare and coordinate the global follow-up/gap analysis to prevent re-occurrence and provide advice to the sites * Provide expertise to sites and the organization on new and developing regulatory requirements and trends, to help ensure the company remains up-to-date with current regulatory requirements * Participate in the continuous improvement and maintenance of a global platform for reporting, reviewing and trending GMP Compliance risks on global basis. * Other duties as assigned by the Director of Quality Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, or related discipline 5-10 years' experience of relevant Diagnostic Laboratory, pharmaceutical, medical device or experience in a Quality Assurance position. (FDA, ISO13485, CAP/CLIA) Technical Skills Requirements * Strong experience hosting/auditing Regulatory Authority inspections and Sponsor audits and interacting with sponsor/client representative * Must have in-depth knowledge of EU, ICH GCP and FDA and EMA regulatory landscape and trends and be able to proactively communicate this knowledge to internal partners. * Strong knowledge of quality system requirements with knowledge of the QSR, ISO, MDD, CAP/CLIA requirements * Confirmed ability to identify quality issues/discrepancies and effectively and proactively resolve the issues/discrepancies in a respectful, flexible and constructive manner * Must have excellent attention to detail, time management and investigative skills as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities with aggressive timelines * Detail-oriented, proven problem solver and analytical thinker with exceptional organization skills * Must have knowledge of project management concepts, have the ability to adapt to changing priorities, and deliver on objectives Leadership skills Required * Strong and supportive negotiator, influencer, and ability to get results through others * Strong ability to collaborate and build internal and external relationships * Robust leadership skills and confirmed experience in staff development * A strong customer experience focus and service orientation * Authentic and approachable personality that can connect with a diverse range of people. * A motivated self-starter who can work well both independently and as part of a team. * Proficiency in conflict prevention and resolution. * A high sense integrity, professional courage, and sound judgment Must be able to work in a biohazard environment and follow safety policies and standards outlined in the Safety Manual Travel will be less than 25%.
