Job Description Job Description Competitive Pay Outstanding Culture Full Benefits We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join a well-establish manufacture who can contribute to the finance department's success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with a focus on meticulous attention to detail.
As an Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in various financial activities, including tracking inventory transactions, maintaining fixed assets, reconciling accounts, and collaborating with our CFO and finance team for accurate and timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Track the flow of inventory transactions throughout the ERP system Monitor inventory cost across multiple manufacturing processes Assist in the preparation of monthly trial balances Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules Reconcile bank accounts and credit card activity Manage the GL chart of accounts Collaborate closely with the CFO and finance staff to ensure the timely monthly close of financial books Ensure all records are prepared and maintained in accordance with GAAP Analyze general ledger balances and sub-ledger reports for discrepancies, conducting cost analysis as needed Assist in maintaining a system of internal accounting controls to ensure proper authorization and recording of transactions Prepare, review, and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications Conduct reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts, including cash accounts, prepaid accounts, and accruals Set up new vendors, identify 1099 vendors, and respond to vendor inquiries Undertake special projects and provide analytical assistance as required Possess a strong working knowledge of Excel, including VLOOKUPs and other functions Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related from an accredited school 8 years of experience in accounting roles, with a focus on inventory and cost accounting Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel Strong understanding of GAAP principles Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Strong communication and interpersonal skills Join the team and contribute to a dynamic and collaborative work environment where your expertise will make a difference in our financial operations.
