Step into a pivotal role as our Accounting Manager, where your expertise in financial management fuels our mission. You'll lead a team dedicated to excellence in financial reporting, ensuring our operations align seamlessly with our strategic goals.  

The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger management, month-end and year-end close processes, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP. This role is critical to maintaining the company’s financial health, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and managing a small accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical accounting expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee the financial reporting, billing, invoicing, and collections processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Supervise and mentor Accounting Clerks and Collections Specialists, fostering a team that excels in efficiency and accuracy.
• Reconcile bank statements, manage credit accounts.
• Manage final payroll postings.
• Ensure commission reports are accurate. 
• Import monthly information into budget management tracker
• Manage tight deadlines across a multitude of accounting activities, including monthly closings and tax preparations.
• Collaborate with senior management to support strategic decisions through detailed financial analysis and reporting.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required), MBA or Master’s in Accounting/Finance (preferred but not required).
• 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong background in GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience working in mid-sized companies ($10M–$50M revenue) preferred.
• Prior experience managing audits and external financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software (we use Sage Intacct)
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and comprehensive knowledge of accounting software and financial management systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven leadership in managing accounting teams with a track record of improving processes and meeting financial deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, capable of building relationships across departments and with senior management.
