Accounting Manager

Job Summary:

Profire Energy is a leading provider of Burner Management Systems and associated equipment to the oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a driven, highly organized, and results-oriented individual to join our Lindon, Utah team as an Accounting Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Accounts Receivable process:

  • Supervise and train 1-2 Accounts Receivable Clerks or Interns in their duties:

  • Timely and accurately invoicing customers in Netsuite and ensuring proper submission and approval in customer AP portals, resolving disputes as needed

  • Recording and applying customer payments

  • Managing sales tax exemptions accurately

  • Managing the AR email inbox to ensure timely responses

  • Work closely with sales and service departments to ensure proper documentation exists for invoicing; i.e. customer purchase orders, work orders, proof of delivery or job completion, etc.

  • Review large customer projects for proper revenue recognition

  • Manage customer accounts and collection efforts through AR automation portal, YayPay.

  • Run weekly meetings and trainings with the YayPay team to train them on any new portal customers and to review and assist with portal rejections.

  • Responsible for creating new customers in NetSuite and managing customer credit limits.

  • Prepares monthly metrics to track collection activity and present in monthly credit committee meeting.

  • Assist with monthly calculations of sales commissions

  • Assist with bank reconciliations and weekly cash flow forecasting

  • Complete monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as assigned

  • Assist with quarterly reviews and audits

  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, preferred

  • Experience with NetSuite, preferred

  • 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience, including journal entries and account reconciliations

  • 2+ years Accounts Receivable experience

  • 1+ year people management experience

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Superior organizational skills with great attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership for and manage a process with limited supervision

  • Creativity and problem solving skills

  • Strong focus on process improvement to drive efficiencies and solve problems

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
