Accounting Manager

Job Description Job Description Essential Job Functions The Accounting Manager will be the main point of contact for the preparation and the balancing of the general ledger accounts. This position is also the day-to-day person responsible for the tracking, reconciling, and reporting on all A/R and A/P.

Performs general accounts analysis and reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, prepaid expenses, etc. Has working knowledge of General Ledgers and general accounting controls. Familiar with accounting terms, principles, and processes.

Ensures that revenues and receivables are accurately reconciled / balanced. Becomes fully knowledgeable in all related software systems including QuickBooks, Excel, and Zoom Grants. Possess outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.

Assists with all month/year end closing tasks i.e., monthly journal entries. Tracks all recurring contracts/lease payments/rentals. Tracks and submits backup documentation for all Grant contracts.

Tracks licenses for 2 entities. Ensures proper billing, accuracy and A/R. Responsible for verifying real estate exemption and tangible taxes with CFO.

Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary accounting information. Assists with payroll, and other office tasks as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance from four-year college or university or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures. Proficient in the use of MS Office products (word processing, spreadsheet application) and accounting software. Zoom Grant software is a plus.
