As Accounting Manager, your primary responsibility is to manage a team as well as monthly general ledger close duties, revenue tasks, and perform and review account reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Manages month-end close activities and prepares general ledger entries.

• Oversee accounting staff including training, development and ensure accounting process and reporting are completed timely and accurately.

• Ensures timely and accurate completion of critical tasks and processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, internal schedules and variance explanations, and reporting.

• Prepare and/or review revenue and cost entries in compliance with internal accounting policies and US GAAP (ASC 606).

• Review client contracts and invoices for proper revenue recognition treatment.

• Reviews account reconciliations and accruals prepared by the accounting team.

• Analyzes financial statements and variances to identify discrepancies.

• Oversees the reconciliation and depreciation/amortization of fixed assets.

• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, SEC reporting standards and other applicable regulations.

• Recommends and implements improvements to streamline month-end close processes and enhance efficiency through automation and optimization.

• Assists in providing support for tax, audit, and examination processes, including audited financial statements.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or related field

• CPA or equivalent preferred

• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience

• Minimum 3-5 years in a similar position with prior supervisory experience.

• Adequate understanding of ASC 606 required

• Understanding of GAAP accounting principles

• Self-starter with excellent communication, organizational and project management skills and a strong attention to detail

• Flexible and able to work independently and in a team environment

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with SAAS based ERP such as Sage/Intaact or NetSuite would be considered a plus.
