Candidates with previous experience in the telecommunications industry are preferred but it is not a requirement. Leadership aspirations are something this candidate should have in mind when applying for this position.

You will play a key role in managing the finances of our business and ensuring our continued growth and success. You will also collaborate and communicate with employees and vendors to ensure accuracy of financial transactions. The role prefers candidates with customer relations experience and the ability to communicate clearly.

As an Accounting Manager, you will perform, monitor and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities. In addition, you will be establishing much needed financial systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting key performance metrics.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

Develop a system to record day to day, weekly and monthly financial transactions and complete the posting process. Operate with existing checks and balances systems as well as creating new ones as the need arises. Communicating well in a professional manner with both vendors and customers. Other tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Plan, implement and oversee overall accounting strategy

  • Perform all necessary daily, weekly and monthly tasks related to Accounts Receivable/ Payable, Bank Reconciliations, General Journal Entries, Check Runs, Deposits, Online banking, General Journal Entries

  • Process Payroll & Sales Commissions

  • Monitor and analyses accounting data for errors in billing and payments

  • Create regular reports and submit to leadership (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements)

  • Assist leadership in cash flow forecasting

  • Set up and monitor accounting KPI's

  • Set up and implement Dunning & Collections systems

  • Create and maintain a disciplined A/R strategy

  • Cash Flow Statements

  • Customer & Vendor Interactions

  • Create a system for opening, tracking, monitoring vendor disputes

  • Assists with budget preparations

  • Assist accountants with tax preparations

  • Create approval systems for bill pay

  • Provide accounting recommendations to leadership

  • Meet financial accounting objectives

  • Prepare and present KPIs to stakeholders

Min Qualification Requirements:

  • 3-5yrs related experience

  • Excellent knowledge and experience with accounting software (Quickbooks Online) and databases (MS Access and/or SQL, Quickbase, or other database software)

  • MS Excel, MS Outlook

  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Ability to multi task

  • Understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations - SAFS Rules (Statement Of Financial Accounting Standards)

  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success

  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

  • Team player

  • Good time-management skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

  • Great customer relations experience

  • Data entry & analysis skills, must exhibit proficiency dealing with complex data
