The Accounting Manager will report to the parent company's corporate office. They will be responsible for all accounting activities of the business and for accurate and timely reporting of financial information, including monthly financial results and balance sheets, budgets, and analyses of the monthly results. The Accounting Manager will plan and manage monthly financial closing processes and oversee internal controls, policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements. They will need to establish and maintain good communications with other departments, company management and related parties. The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for the financial and operational integration of platform sub-acquisitions including one recently closed.

The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Divisional Accounting Manager of NFP with a dotted line reporting into the Managing Director of NFP Rx Solutions. The individual will oversee one accounting staff which could expand as warranted by growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and review daily accounting operations including
Cash receipts, invoicing and accounts receivable
Accounts payable and accruals
Bank transactions, reconciliation and cash flow analysis
Responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and managing monthly closing process and financial analysis
Create annual budgets and forecasts, including identify major drivers and opportunities/risks; update as needed
Provide regular financial reporting and analysis to both regional and corporate management
Develop and provide various financial reports and analysis to company management
Maintain accounting policies and procedures and ensure daily accounting transactions are adhered to the policies and standards.
Coordinate with parent company and other subsidiaries to accomplish inter-company transactions
Monitor the internal control structure, and ensure accounting processes, activities and controls meet and conform to Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements.
Participate in and lead special projects and resolve issues related to Finance and Accounting as they arise
Perform final payroll review and approval of bi-weekly paychecks; advise payroll as to monthly producer commission amounts
Advise on and resolve any producer payout disputes or conflicts
Plan and execution of financial and operational integration of any regional sub-acquisitions
Oversight of daily cash receipts and bank account management and reconciliation
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Financing or Accounting required; MBA or CPA a plus.
5+ years accounting experience required, preferably in the insurance or financial services industries
Public Accounting exposure and/or experience in audit preferred
Experience in overseeing the financial aspects of corporate acquisitions is a plus but not required.
Knowledge, Skills and/ or Abilities:
Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and be able to adapt to/understand various accounting and reporting systems
Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills are a must
Must be able to manage projects efficiently and effectively, as well as meet set deadlines
Needs to be very detail oriented and handle multi-tasks at a fast pace
Strong understanding of the financial management, forecasting, budgeting process and business performance measurement systems.
Ability to effectively and professionally present financial information to senior management and corporate executives.
Demonstrated ability to learn the business and have a business and customer centric approach to finance and accounting leadership.
Ability to collaborate and develop strong relationships with all levels of personnel within the organization.
Must possess personal and business integrity with an energetic style demonstrated by a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
