Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of 6-8 accounting professionals
Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk
Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards
Experience working across multiple departments with ability to facilitate conversations to develop cross functional solutions that balance the business needs of all constituents
Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance and report business performance metrics frequently to drive long term success
Distributes financial information and helps field management staff understand financial position and reporting data.
Work with FP&A colleagues in preparation of the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management
Provide key understanding to monthly financial variances to determine impact on the remainder of the year
Oversee cash application and approvals of payments
Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit
Participate in the development of and support the company's strategic plans
Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff
Continually strives to improve data integrity and information reporting
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:

Proficiency in accounting and tax preparation software
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration. Advanced degree a plus
CPA preferred
6-8 years or more related experience required
3+ years of management experience
Experience in the industry a plus
