JOB SUMMARY
Manage accounting, financial, payroll, and administrative activities of the Company.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A working knowledge of accounting principles at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field; or
10 years' experience in general construction accounting, auditing, payroll, and invoicing or a combination of experience and education.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to function with a certain degree of independence and make decisions within areas of management
Ability to carry out tasks and initiatives autonomously and collaboratively
Knowledge about a variety of typical business issues and ability to gain an understanding of new concepts and issues timely
Must be reasonable, organized, and have a high attention to detail
Must be able to identify accounting exceptions, develop solutions, and execute solutions
Strong interpersonal communication skills at all levels and ability to manage and motivate others
Sales tax across multiple states preferred, but not required
Accounts payable
Payroll law
Union payroll issues
Accounting experience in the construction industry preferred, but not required
Experience with Spectrum construction software preferred but not required
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Knowledge of various tax reporting requirements
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure financial records and systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and within the established internal control environment.
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including review of direct report activities
Assist in the month end closing and financial reporting process.
Monitor sales tax issues and review/approve sales tax returns.
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and/or statements.
Assist with audit (internal and external) and parent company requests.
Continuously strive for process improvement
Provide various financial reporting/analysis as requested by Management.
Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Maintain company licensing compliance.
Maintain schedule of facility leases
Review weekly union and non-union payrolls.
Review of weekly job cost transfers
Oversight of union benefit and sales tax reporting
Assist in special projects as required.
Prepare or assist in W2 and 1099 reporting.
Employee development and support
Perform additional duties as assigned.
