Accounting Manager, Licensing Revenue & Trademark Holding Companies

Job Posting:

As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee the accounting process for royalty revenue for each region (US, Latin America, EMEA and APAC) related to our licensees as well as performs monthly closing, revenue recognition, forecasting, and other general accounting functions for all Delaware Holding companies. You will have one direct report and will work closely with the finance and licensing teams in all global regions.

Key Responsibilities:

Global Royalty Revenue

• Responsible for providing accounting oversight for royalty revenue recognition globally.

• Work closely with licensing paralegal and legal team for any new licensing agreements or renewals

• Conduct monthly meetings with licensing teams to review status of licensees

• Manage the calculation of monthly revenue journal entries for each region

• Ensure journal entries for the quarterly true-up of revenue, contract asset and AR balances based on actual performance are completed accurately and timely

• Manage AR process and preparation of quarterly licensee invoices for US and Latin America

• Prepare quarterly financial reporting disclosures for Corporate Finance team and respond to inquiries from the Corporate Finance and FP&A teams as necessary

General Accounting

• Responsible for accurate preparation of information necessary to produce the financial statements in accordance with established procedures.

• Maintain general ledger and subsidiary ledgers for all Delaware companies including the recording of all necessary monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries

• Perform quarterly analysis of all account balances

• Ensure adherence to Sarbanes Oxley controls identified for the Holding Companies

• Manage the annual Plan preparation and submission

• Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements for all companies including Group Reporting (Actual and Forecast)

• Prepare templates for and participate in the twice per year balance sheet reviews

• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned

Experience/Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• ASC 606 experience preferred

• 8 years accounting and analysis experience

• CPA preferred

• Prior experience with SAP preferred
