iRobot is seeking a highly engaged Accounting Manager to join our Finance Department. We are looking for an energetic, self-starting, organized, detail-oriented candidate with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This position will require extensive and effective collaboration with multiple Finance functions and cross-functional teams. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of adapting and implementing change as well as keen problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate is flexible and enthusiastic, with a positive attitude, and a team player who can also work independently while participating in ongoing projects. This position will manage direct reports and report to the Senior Manager of Accounting Operations.


  • Manage and drive aspects of the month-end close process, which includes journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, trial balance reviews, and flux analysis while adhering to tight deadlines

  • Manage general accounting functions, including, but not limited to general ledger, cash, intercompany, prepaids and fixed assets

  • Oversee payroll and benefits accounting including bi-weekly payroll, payroll accrual, vacation and benefits expense and accruals, as well as monthly benefit allocation entries and IBNR for self-funded health plan

  • Oversee monthly departmental accrual including sales and marketing, engineering, IT, corporate and facilities accruals

  • Collaborate cross functionally on accruals and increase the accuracy of financial data

  • Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements

  • Provide leadership and development to a staff of 3 by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships

  • Ensure SOX adherence and work with internal audit team on control testing and walkthroughs

  • Support external auditors for quarterly reviews and year-end audit procedures


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role

  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office and accounting software. Experience with Oracle R12 a plus.

The Area Program Manager is a member of the area office senior management team, is involved with all aspects of daily activities of the clinical staff and reports to the Area Director and Area Clinical Manager. The selected candidate will provide supervision to social service supervisors and any other specialty positions as assigned. Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive): * Perform case management activities such as assignment of cases and approval of transfers and closings. * Oversee all clinical and case management activities of assigned units which may include but not be limited to screening/investigation activities, child removal decisions and process, permanency planning, and family resource support and management. * Participate in the hiring and training of new employees. * Actively participates in the professional growth and development of area staff. * Help to develop comprehensive quality assurance programs within the area office including participation in centralized initiatives. * Collaborate with other state agencies and community organizations in the shared provision of services to clients. * Participate in the development, monitoring and evaluation of the local system of care. * Interpret and trains staff on agency policy, mission, and vision.
