Job Description Job Description Summary Two high-profile and successful entrepreneurs are seeking a qualified individual to handle the books and records for an assortment of entities. Personal and business accounts included.
The ideal candidate is high energy and diligent. Working from home is acceptable. Occasional meetings with owners are required at their homes or at other locations within Miami. “Average” hours are Monday through Friday 8:30AM-5PM.
Compensation is 1099 based. Hours not checked, only results are Responsibilities · Interface with CPAs who will provide all tax planning information. o Maintain cost basis controls for many real estate projects. o Currently there are approximately 50 separate entities. · Reconciliation of approximately 100 bank accounts monthly. · Distribute weekly cash movement reports to the appropriate entrepreneur. · Pay bills via online and paper checks as well as wiring funds. · Respond to legal department inquiries for information. · In conjunction with CPAs, maintain personal and business financial statement reporting. · Perform ad-hoc reporting on demand as requested by entrepreneurs. Qualifications ü Degree in Finance or Accounting ü Comprehensive understanding of Cost Basis Accounting for Commercial Real Estate ü Personal interest in planning and forecasting would be a great benefit to us. ü Strong communication skills (writing/verbal) ü Multi-tasking capabilities as many projects run simultaneously. ü 5 years of experience with and competent in use of Microsoft Excel and Accounting Software ü Basic understanding of Partnerships, LLC’s, S-Corps and Trusts.
