The Position: The Accounting Manager is accountable for the processing of financial entries (General Ledger, Accounts Receivables/Accounts Payable and Product Costing) in the AMER region (US, CA, MX, BR). The role is responsible for continuous process improvement as well as addressing and reducing any process inefficiencies. A key objective is to align processes initially within the region but ultimately in between all 3 regions/time zones.

What you will do:

• Ensure AMER entities support the business, and service the debt and tax requirements.
• Full support to resolve the financial side in case of process or operational issues at sites, offices or in processes.
• Responsible that the team meets all deadlines, (from monthly, quarterly and yearly closings to payment runs and incoming cash allocation) and ensures the achievement of defined process efficiency KPIs.
• Strong understanding of the business and financial implications of this.
• Provide effective leadership to team of 12 employees over multiple locations.
• Initiate/establish process implementation and alignment over AMER region and actively participate in and regularly lead in Group process improvements.

What you will bring:

• Level of education & knowledge:

• Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a similar major.

• Experience in general:

• Managerial experience within a Shared Service Center and hands-on accounting knowledge is required

• Minimum of 10 years working experience in managerial finance positions including a Reporting and Accounting role.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing industry

• Technical skills:

• Very strong knowledge of finance and accounting experience.

• The ability to effectively and efficiently bridge between finance pillars as required for process improvements.

• Strong understanding of organizational (meta-) processes and be the link between departments

• Hands-on knowledge of SAP FI, ideally also knowledge of SAP-CO

• Experienced leader with ability to change styles

• Affinity to automation and digitalization with the view of integration and efficiency

• Able to structure work around deadlines, compliance requirements, project milestones

• Bilingual (e.g. Spanish) would be considered an asset

The annual base salary for this position typically ranges between $118,284 and $147,855. Additionally, employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus as part of their total compensation package. This salary range is an estimate based on factors such as candidate qualifications, operational needs, and business performance metrics. Actual compensation may vary above or below the stated range, as permitted by applicable laws.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At INEOS Styrolution, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are carefully made based on the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
