Accounting Manager (Hybrid)

The pay range is $69,000.00 - $124,200.00

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications.

Working within Finance Operations team calls on your skills for quality financial and operational reporting, data analytics, ensuring accurate financials while providing thoughtful and responsive support, expertise and guidance to internal and external business partners. Your role will be critical to ensuring the success of Target's business initiatives and core retail operations.

As an Accounting Manager, you will work closely to ensure a reasonable forecast of and accurate accounting for Target's Vendor Income (VI) business. Your duties will include completing journal entries and facilitating timely and accurate month-end close routines in compliance with SOX guidelines.

You will strengthen your analytical skills through recurring reporting and ad-hoc analysis. You will be a key member of the cross-functional team responsible for implementation of modern VI technology solutions, and you will be responsible for documentation of related accounting and control processes (as needed). You will develop strong relationships to influence internal and external partners across the company, including Merchandising, Business Partnerships & Negotiations, Finance Capabilities, Risk and Controls and Corporate Financial Planning. You will drive innovation and analytics to improve complex processes.

About you:

• 4-year Accounting degree and 5+ years of relevant business experience.

• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial acumen, with focus on data-driven decision-making.

• Data analysis and modeling experience.

• Experience with SAP general ledger.

• Strong business partner, able to collaborate with teams across the organization.

• Ability to summarize complex, detailed topics for partners and leadership.

• Ability to problem-solve, think critically, be independent and take initiative.

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
