Accounting Manager

Position Overview:

Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology. We provide real-time, actionable data to enhance security across various environments. As we expand, we're looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team. The position will help set direction, enforce internal controls, and provide support for the organization. This position is based on site in Syracuse, NY with the ability for a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop finance personnel, providing coaching and guidance to enhance their skills and capabilities.

• Assists with tax preparation which could include, but is not limited to, R&D tax credits, annual federal and state income tax, sales tax, and international transfer pricing.

• Integral to the month end close process working to push for efficient processes and performs analysis of balance sheet, P&L and cash.

• Ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close

• Works with the team to develop forecasts and budgets including P&L at the product line level, cash flow, and balance sheet.

• Supports specific cross functional teams as assigned. Includes reporting and analysis of financial data as well as general guidance for the team.

• Responsible for internal controls, documentation, testing, and improvement.

• Implement and document processes and procedures around accounting processes

• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations.

• Enhance and develop processes and procedures for the accounting and finance team.

• Leads external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.

• Ability to communicate with cross-functional stakeholders across various business areas

• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel

• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Deltek CostPoint

Compensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, and disability insurance. The company also provides a remote or hybrid work environment and potential stock options.

Salary Range: The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $115,000 to $142,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Hidden Level considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
