Position Summary: The Accounting Manager is responsible for executing general accounting processes for the business, including journal entry preparation and approval, account reconciliation preparation and approval, and month-end closing procedures. This person reports to the CFO and coordinates and supervises the daily activities of the accounting staff to record the financial transactions generated by the business activities accurately.

This position requires a highly motivated self-starter with a proactive and analytical mindset who is extraordinarily detail-oriented. The Accounting Manager will file timely financial reporting information and analysis as required. The candidate must be flexible, have high integrity, and be action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities: Coordinate financial closing for the Company’s two subsidiaries for the month, quarter, and year. Work directly with the CFO to create, analyze, and disseminate financial reporting.

Manage the Accounting staff, including AP, AR, and Credit. Work with Executive and Group-level management on reporting and analysis for monthly and semester reporting. Responsible for the Company’s sales/use, property, and other regulatory filings.

Assist the CFO in year-end audits and income tax filings with external accountants. Reconcile bank statements. Manage annual license renewals.

Maintain fixed asset records in compliance with established standards, policies, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Execute transactions within the fixed asset system to correctly add, adjust, retire, and transfer assets, understanding the accounting implications of such transactions. Ensure capital spending is aligned with corporate policies and authorized limits. Properly log all capital expenditure requests with all formal approvals and processes.

Record financial information to the general ledger in compliance with established standards, policies, and GAAP. Plan and perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, analytical reviews, and accruals. Prepare internal and external financial statements.

Assist with internal management reporting and external audit support. Design, implement, and execute efficient internal control procedures. Prepare journal entries relating to finished goods inventory balance and cost of goods sold.

Review inventory reserve calculations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting. 3-5 years of relevant managerial experience. Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Very detail-oriented. Working knowledge of IFRS. Experience coordinating external audit and tax work.

Deadline-oriented with the ability to work independently. Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Trustworthy and highly ethical. Strong analytical skills. Ability to manage staff, motivate and develop teams, and evaluate performance.

Ability to manipulate large amounts of data using programs such as Excel. Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements and tax laws and regulations. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across departments and with external stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues. Experience with ERP systems and accounting software, with the ability to implement and improve systems and processes as needed. Benefits: - Competitive hourly wage
