Our client is a dynamic and innovative organization committed to excellence in the construction industry. With a strong focus on growth and development, they are seeking a dedicated Accounting Manager to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success.
As the Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial activities and operations of the company. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will be responsible for managing the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and implementing efficient accounting processes and procedures. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make significant contributions to the company's financial success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances and providing analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliation of accounts, accruals, and preparation of journal entries.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing insights to support business objectives and performance improvement initiatives.
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate external audits and assist with tax planning and compliance activities, working closely with auditors and tax advisors as needed.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and support to foster professional growth and development.
- Continuously evaluate accounting processes and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the CFO or senior management, contributing to the overall success of the finance department and the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations, with experience in construction accounting preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
