The Accounting Manager provides support to the Controller and is a critical part of Dealpath's accounting department. The Accounting Manager works with peers from across the organization and will manage the general ledger, daily processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable transactions, and collections, which must be performed accurately and efficiently.

You're excited about this opportunity because you'll be responsible for:

  • Preparation of periodic financial statements; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP) or other applicable financial reporting standards.

  • Manage the company's compliance with applicable revenue recognition standards (ASC 606) by working with Rev Ops, other GTM team members, and finance leadership..

  • Manage billing and collections, ensuring timely billing and collection of customer dues and setup of reasonable DOS standards.

  • Assist Controller with stock compensation management and reporting.

  • Perform and maintain timely account reconciliation; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.

  • Manages accounting staff who is responsible for handling day-to-day activities concerning accounts payable, collections, and payroll.

  • Assist Controller in oversight of timely statutory compliance and filings, including but not limited to, sales taxes, corporate income taxes, and other statutory reports and filings. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government tax and filing requirements.

  • Interact with cross-functional leaders across People Operations, Go-to-Market, DevOps, IT, and InfoSec.

  • Actively seeking process improvement opportunities in financial operations.

  • Assist finance leadership with applicable projects/reporting.

We're excited that you have:

  • Prior experience responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial processing, month end close, cash management reports, balance sheet reconciliations, management reports, and balance sheet reconciliation.

  • Strong knowledge in U.S. GAAP, experience in ASC 606 desirable.

  • Experience working for a SaaS start-up.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to adapt communication styles to suit a diverse audiance.

  • A sense of ownership/responsibility and ability to work across the aisles with team members from various departments.

  • Strong desire to make process improvements and create positive impacts on peers.

  • Attention to details and being flexible.

  • Fluent in accounting and tax preparation software, experience in system conversion/migration desirable.

  • Experience with software applications such as Quickbooks, SFDC is valued. Comfortable with learning to use various software applications.

  • Desire to work with a team of fun and dedicated professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline required.

  • 4+ years of related accounting experience.

  • A combination of public accounting and private industry experience is required.

  • Attention to detail and proven ability to analyze large data sets.

  • Proficiency with various accounting software systems.

For bonus points:

  • Experience with a Big Four accounting firm or a renowned national accounting firm.

  • Prior experience managing activities of a team of individual contributors.

  • Prior experience working with Quickbooks (and other ERPs), Google Workplace Collaboration Tools, Expensify, Carta, and Bill.com highly preferred.

  • CPA desired but not required.

  • The estimated pay range for California candidates for this position is $130,000 - $150,000 base.

  • This position is also eligible for Dealpath's equity plan.

  • Your compensation will be based upon several factors including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and the skills assessed in Dealpath's interview process.
