About This Role

As an Accounting Manager Consultant, you will provide support around general accounting for a global tech client in the Bay Area. In this role, you will provide operational support to close the gaps within the team as they are working on company-wide transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have great stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, the ability to navigate organizationally and be a self-starter, looking to jump in and add value to ease pressure on the existing team.

What You Will Work On

• Perform company accounting operations and lead month-end close process, including maintaining the general ledger and sub-ledgers, reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as well as analyze account variances

• Manage bookkeeping and financial systems. Perform day-to-day management of financial accounts and apply accounting principles to analyze financial information

• Ensure financial transactions are performed in compliance with company policies and in accordance with US GAAP

• Perform accounting functions such as revenue and asset accounting, payroll and cost analysis.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial management reports and statements.

• Perform reconciliation activities and ensure accurate reporting and analysis of revenues and expenses.

• Provide continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities.

• Analyze financial information to prepare weekly, monthly and annual financial reports; review policies and procedures to ensure SOX compliance.

• Develop solutions to resolve accounting discrepancies and other financial problems/issues.

• Address and resolve queries in a timely and accurate manner.

Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements.

What You Will Bring

• 7+ years of experience in operational accounting

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance,

• CPA preferred

• Global company experience a must. High-tech industry a plus!

• Google Suite, SQL, MS Office and other collaboration tools experience

• ERPs: SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite

• Able to handle ambiguity and pivot quickly to drive things forward

• High level of energy, strong collaboration skills coupled with an entrepreneurial mindset

What You Can Expect

• Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.

• Pay Range: $80-95
