Accounting Manager

Job Description Job Description Reporting to ownership, the Accounting Manager is tasked with independently leading accounting functions for an established and growing product engineering and manufacturing company to ensure accuracy and urgency is applied while maintaining responsibility for the department. The Accounting Manager acts on solutions and highlights anomalies as attention to detail is utilized in the day-to-day of the role.

Responsibilities Oversee the business accounting full cycle with assistance and support from the Office Manager. Supported by an outsourced accounting contractor for overflow, emergencies, and/or coverage. Manage AP, AR, balancing, P&L, expense reconciliation.

Coordinate POs and invoices with production team balancing received product with billed invoices. Partner with Purchasing for questions and edits for billing. Supervise daily and period-closing activities during the monthly close process.

Review and approve bank and balance sheet account reconciliations, financial reports, and variance analysis. Coordinate responses to internal teams. Provide month-end and year-end financials.

Prepare monthly distribution calculations and initiate payment requests. Provide weekly cash position reports to owners and coordinate payments including wire and ACH requests. Be able to work in teams/collaboratively with others to create optimal solutions to support and grow the business while assisting other departments to train, develop, audit, etc.

Work within an ERP system and properly communicate as needed - keeping coworkers and supervisors informed. Follow both verbal and written directives. Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Skills and Qualifications Five years of experience managing accounting functions within a production setting Five years of manufacturing experience Ability to run reporting and understand manufacturing ERP systems (GSS, SAP, etc.) Strong knowledge of accounting principals - AP, AR, balancing, P&L, expense reconciliation Urgent and analytical mindset Company Description Cobalt Product Solutions is a product development and manufacturing company located in Plano, Texas.
