Job Description Job Description Accounting Manager | Onsite - Montgomery, IL | $120k - $130k Bonus The Accounting Manager supports the Corporate Controller in overseeing the organization's accounting functions, including supervising accounting operations, monthly and yearly closings, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. Primary Responsibilities:
Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and review of others' work. Supervise accounting staff (currently two professionals). Maintain ERP setup and configuration for accurate data capture and ledger posting. Oversee account reconciliation process, resolving reconciling items promptly.
Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned entities and assist in consolidated financial reporting. Streamline processes, emphasize continuous improvement, and develop internal controls. Conduct internal operational audits and assist external auditors with financial audits and tax return preparation.
Assist in credit review process for new customers and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Aid in developing annual operating and capital budgets; monitor compliance and variances. Develop reports and analyses for management to measure and predict financial performance.
Regularly communicate with Corporate Controller regarding accounting operations and projects. Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting. 3 years of financial management experience or similar role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Ability to lead complex projects while overseeing daily accounting responsibilities. Proven team development skills.
