Preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements in accordance with GAAP.
Supervision of staff accountant/s including performance evaluations, training, mentoring and assignment of workflow.
Forecast annual revenue and assist with fiscal year budget process.
Respond to vendors, external clients and internal customers.
Responsible for providing extensive account analyses on various balance sheet and P&L accounts.
Communicate key issues and resolutions on a regular basis to the CFO.
Maintain the relationship and coordination of fiscal year-end audit with external firm. Work with the auditors to ensure a clean and timely audit.
Maintain fixed assets and prepaid schedules.
Maintain current policies and procedures and administer changes where needed.
Accurately provide both routine and adhoc reporting analysis, tracking and monitoring of grants and budgets.
Manage the 1099 process.
Make and implement recommendations to improve accounting processes and/or procedures.
Assist the CFO to make sure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
Complete work in a timely manner and achieve established goals.
Must be team oriented and work with all departments.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by CFO.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 5 years accounting experience plus knowledge of SAGE accounting software preferred but not required.
Prior supervisory experience in the accounting/financial area.
Thorough knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting principles, practices and procedures.
Experience preparing financial statements with knowledge of how to interpret the results.
Ability to take direction from supervisors, contribute to departmental discussions and problem solve.
Must be detail oriented and have good organizational skills.
Strong working knowledge of Excel.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
