This position is instrumental in driving results by preparing, interpreting and communicating all business financial information, including commercial strategies and data analysis of key business metrics that drive management decisions based on facts and supporting data. Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing Accounting staff and develop a talent pipeline by motivating, inspiring and influencing direct reports and peers.
Manage all monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing processes effectively and efficiently.
Drive accurate outlooking, gathering information from management, sales, and production and provide variance analysis vs. prior outlook, budget, and plan.
Manage all financial aspects of the inventory including inventory reconciliation, cycle count program, slow & obsolete reporting and inventory management. Measure, monitor and analyze inventory trends, and drive improvement.
Prepare/review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for specified general ledger accounts including inventory, various balance sheet accounts, intercompany transfers, and cash accounts.
Support maintenance of bill of material structures and update standard costs, including building job specific bills of material.
Keep the segment and division leadership team informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management.
Help other employees understand how their choices and decisions will impact the financials. Identifies, communicates, and trains others on key business drivers.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting; CPA qualification a plus
5-7 years of related experience
Detail oriented with strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
Analytical, inquisitive and crisp in explaining the story behind the numbers. Strong ability to understand macro and micro trends and quickly discern inaccuracies
Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbal/written) effectively with customers, suppliers and all employees as well as an ability to develop positive and productive peer relationships
Aggressive self-starter with the ability to work independently on projects with little direction

The Payroll /ACA Reporting Specialist provides business services for the firm's clients on a more independent basis, ensuring delivery is timely, accurate and serves the client's needs, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities * Enter, process, and reconcile client transactions on a regular and timely basis. * Prepare reports as appropriate in accordance with firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leaders. * Actively participate in on-boarding new clients. * Continue to develop technical competency according to applicable guidelines/regulations and with the various software systems used to provide the services. * Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive and professional manner. * Communicate proactively with other firm associates regarding open items, problems, or other important matters in a timely manner. * Adhere to prescribed policies, time budgets and deadlines. * Prepare correspondence related to client engagements under supervision as appropriate. * Participate in core CPE programs. * Develop a familiarity with Wipfli service offerings with the intent of applying that knowledge towards identifying additional client opportunities. * Actively participate in community activities to develop positive relationships with community leaders and members. * Assist the team in special projects as appropriate. Qualifications * Associate Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. * Working towards CA, Professional Bookkeeper (PB), Certified Bookkeeper (CB), or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred, or equivalent work experience, as appropriate. * Small business accounting software (such as QuickBooks ProAdvisor) certification as appropriate (not required at the time of hire, but must be completed within first year of service) as needed. * 1-3 years job related experience * Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively * Ability to balance many projects simultaneously * Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines * Ability to analyze data and recommend solutions * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe, Outlook, and position specific software applications as appropriate.
