We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting systems and be proficient in managing various accounting functions, including accounts payable, credit card transactions, and bank reconciliations. This position requires a high level of accuracy, organization, and communication skills to ensure the effective management of financial records and transactions.

Key Responsibilities: • Receive and enter receipts from credit card transactions accurately into accounting systems. • Reconcile credit card transactions, ensuring alignment with budget validations and resolving any discrepancies. • Review all accounts payable (A/P) general ledger coding for accuracy and reasonableness. • Resolve coding discrepancies prior to processing A/P transactions to ensure accurate financial records. • Process A/P invoices and credit memos for designated business groups, maintaining a high level of accuracy. • File weekly A/P documentation and maintain comprehensive documentation files related to A/P functions. • Balance and reconcile bank statements regularly to ensure financial accuracy. • Maintain and set up sub-vendor accounts in QuickBooks/AppFolio, addressing any billing errors and maintaining accurate records. • Collaborate with employees and owners to work with the CPA for monthly and annual reporting. Ideal Candidate Traits: • At least two years of work experience with accounting systems, including processing, recording, and calculating financial data. • Experience preparing detailed reports of accounting data for internal and external use. • CPA experience is preferred. Bilingual Spanish preferred. • Proficiency in QuickBooks (online or Desktop) for managing financial records. • Experience with receiving and entering receipts from credit card transactions and reconciling them with budget validations. • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. • Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation. • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, owners, and external parties.
