Accounting Manager

Job Description Job Description Company: NEL Frequency Controls, Inc., is a leading manufacturer of crystal oscillators and other electronic frequency control products, shipping to customers all over the world. NEL is based in Burlington, WI, and has recently merged with the Abracon Group. Summary: We are currently looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting function at our Wisconsin manufacturing facility. The Accounting manager will be responsible for internal controls, as well as developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accuracy in financial statements. Location: Burlington, WI On-site, Hybrid, or Remote with an availability for frequent trips to the facility. Remote candidates must be located within a reasonable distance from Burlington, for example in Madison WI, Rockford WI, Milwaukee WI, or in the Northern Chicago area. Duties & Responsibilities: - Leading accounting functions

• Establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.

• Responsible for month-end and year-end close process.

• Maintain accurate account reconciliations.

• Ensure all Accounts Receivable are collected promptly, and Accounts Payable are paid in a timely manner

• Responsible for handling the inventory accounting function.

• Assist finance in forecasting and budget planning.

• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Required Skills & Experience: - Demonstrated leadership ability with 2 years of management experience

• Must be a self-starter, hands-on, “roll up the sleeves” type with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in closing the books within a manufacturing environment

• Experience with generating accurate Trial Balances

• Experience with Standard Cost accounting

• Experience with managing payroll

• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting /Finance

• Proven working experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• 5-15 years of overall combined accounting experience.

• CPA certification preferred
