Salisbury University, a member of the University System of Maryland, is a regionally accredited four-year comprehensive institution offering 62 distinct graduate and undergraduate programs. The Department of Accounting & Legal Studies at Salisbury University’s Franklin P. Perdue School of Business, Salisbury Maryland, is accepting applications for an instructor to start Fall Semester 2024. This is a full-time non-tenure track position.

Primary Job Duties: Teaching and service.

Teaching at the undergraduate level. Teaching financial accounting courses,  as well as the flexibility to teach other undergraduate accounting courses. The normal teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. The incumbent should utilize effective teaching and classroom management strategies which enhance the success of diverse learners.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in accounting or business, or related field from an AACSB accredited institution, professional accounting certification, and 5-8 years of relevant public accounting, corporate accounting or governmental accounting experience.  Teaching expertise sought in financial accounting, and willingness teach in other areas as needed.

Preferred Qualification:  Master’s degree, professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CIA, CFE), and willingness to matriculate in a doctoral program with an emphasis in accounting at an AACSB-accredited business school.
