The Accounting Intern will provide meaningful contributions to the accounting organization with an emphasis on both daily tasks and project based work. The intern will get visibility with senior management and have the opportunity to work with other areas of the company in support of their career aspirations. Successful candidates will have advanced Excel and Access skills, excellent communication skills and a desire to learn.


  • Specialized report development and maintenance

  • Process & procedure documentation support

  • Perform month-end close processes or daily bank reconciliations

  • Assist in special projects focusing on automation and compliance

  • Create reports leveraging SAP, BPC or Banking applications

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Currently enrolled at an accredited U.S. college or university

  • Have successfully completed a minimum of at least sophomore year of college

  • Have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)

  • Advanced Excel and Access skills (including scenario modeling)

  • Analytical skills with familiarity with accounting, financial analysis and reporting

  • Excellent Communication skills (written and oral)

  • Self-starter/fast learner

  • Ability to report to the Libertyville office during the internship (paid housing is not provided)

Upon successful completion of the Internship, the Intern could receive a full time offer into Hollister's Finance Development Program (FDP) upon graduation. The Development program will provide you exposure to four departments over the course of two years on either an Accounting Track (Manufacturing Finance, Corporate Accounting, Global Tax and Global Audit) or Finance Track (US Business Unit Finance, Treasury, The Americas Finance and Corporate FP&A).

If so, this position could very well be for you: Position: SMC Detention Basin Inventory Intern (1 position available) Location: Libertyville, Illinois Salary: $13.50/hour; Job Summary: Responsible for performing a standardized detention basin inventory The Stormwater Management Commission (SMC) is seeking 1 intern to work in the Lake Michigan Watershed in 2019. This candidate will spend time in the field and office under the guidance of SMC staff. The candidate will be responsible for performing a standardized detention basin inventory, the objective of which is to measure and assess current conditions, note maintenance and retrofit needs and opportunities to improve the water quality, flood mitigation and habitat functions of the basins. Interns will work approximately 40 hours per week for up to 15 weeks. The desired start date is between April – May 15th. Class credit may be available for these internships; please check with your academic advisor. Questions should be directed to Jeff Laramy at or 847-377-7709. To be successful in this position, candidates must possess a high level of attention to detail to record data accurately. Successful candidates must also be highly motivated and able to work alone unsupervised for long periods of time. The candidates will possess the ability to work both inside and outside in variable conditions and be willing to engage in limited to moderately strenuous physical activity. Microsoft Office software will be used to analyze the data and summarize findings into a final report. We are looking for candidates who are a graduate of, or current student in, a 2- or 4-year higher education program with an emphasis on water resource engineering, environmental science, biology or a related field. Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software is highly desirable but not required. Applicants must have their own transportation for traveling to and from field sites.
