We are looking for a driven Accounting Intern with a basic understanding of GAAP and financial principles and terms who is ready for an immersive real world experience. Under the supervision of our staff and the CFO, the Accounting Intern can expect to participate in select projects that will build upon your accounting education.
To be a strong candidate for an Accounting Internship, you should possess an understanding of accounting and financial principles and a positive attitude. You should be collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn.
The Bank of San Antonio understands the demands on college students and commits to creating a flexible schedule to meet your testing and study needs. We require 15-20 hours per week to be completed M-F between the hours of 8-6.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
Working with bookkeeping software.
Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
Assist with monthly closings and special projects as necessary.
Must be able to understand organization priorities and meet deadlines.
Other duties as deemed appropriate.
Proficient Excel Skills macros, formulas, pivot tables.
Proficient MS Word Skills mail merge experience preferred.
Must be a recent graduate or actively working towards a Bachelors or Masters in Accounting.
Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting course and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
