Qualifications:

  • Working towards a degree in accounting

  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Word required

Various federal agencies with whom we contract require that staff successfully undergo a background investigation or security clearances a condition of working on projects. If you work on such a project, you will be required to obtain the requisite security clearance.

We are seeking an Accounting Intern to start as soon as possible, and work with us through Spring/Summer 2022. Although we are currently working remotely, when we re-open our offices, this position will be based in our Princeton, NJ office.

The internship provides on-the-job training and the opportunity to work in a private company environment. This is a great opportunity to learn accounting hands on.

Duties of the internship include:

  • Monthly journal entries

  • Assist with account reconciliations

  • Assist project teams with timely responses to Service Now ticket requests to open/close charge codes

  • Organize and obtain travel receipt information required for client invoice submission

  • Maintain and organize Accounts Receivable email box and ensure billing staff responds to client emails

  • Assist billers with assembling monthly client invoice packages

  • Audit employee expense reports

  • Some filing

VIEW JOBS 2/20/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-05-21T00:00 The Accounting Intern will have the opportunity to gain experience with IFRS 9 accounting requirements and start to build on knowledge in an accounting basis that is not focused on in school. Assisting with the automation of reports will help the intern build additional Excel skills and learn new formulas and functionalities. Classroom learning will be brought to life by assisting with the review of Fixed Assets. The intern will also gain hands on experience with using the General Ledger and Consolidation systems by assisting with the Plan loads. Responsibilities will include: * Assistance with IFRS 9 testing to include conversion entries and creating and testing new reporting files. * Assist in automating workbooks and creating better visualizations of the investment data. * Assistance with reviewing old fixed assets for obsolescence and write-off. * Update location fields with the fixed asset module where incorrect or blank. * Assistance with loading of 2022/2023/2024 Plan and footnote data into multiple accounting systems.
