JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Intern will assist the Accounting Department with all aspects, including: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, filing, and copying.

Open to Doyon Shareholders ONLY

This Internship will work May-August.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Enter journal entries and data into the accounting systems.

  • General office tasks, including account maintenance, filing, incoming mail.

  • Assist with processing expense reports.

  • Assisting accountants with transactional and month-end close activities.

  • Account reconciliations.

  • Other accounting projects and tasks.

  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.

  • Experience using Excel.

  • Ability to perform accurate and timely work in an organized and efficient manner.

  • Working towards Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities.
