Accounting Intern

Job Summary This Accounting Intern position works with the corporate accounting group. The role includes support for a variety of mid-level accounting duties, which include both day-to-day activities and projects.

This position reports to the Accounting Manager. Responsibilities Prepare month-end general ledger, close journal entries, and supporting reconciliations Research and correct account discrepancies Post monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals Provide assistance and support for others on the corporate accounting team upon request Prepare reports for management and operations upon request Properly execute stipulated controls to ensure compliance with JSOX Education Must either be a recent graduate or in the process of completing a bachelors degree in accounting. Requirements/Qualifications Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office software programs Must have effective written and verbal communication skills Have strong organization and time management skills Must have completed introductory accounting courses and have a basic understanding of accounting principles Must be a team player and motivated to learn with a strong desire to take on a new challenge Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing. LI-MF1 HP
