Responsible for supporting the execution of accounting, tax, and finance processes and assisting with other related projects.
Prepares tax returns, researches and identifies technical issues, and documents all tax work for review by the supervisor.
Demonstrates an understanding of basic tax concepts and actively pursues increased tax knowledge through project assignments and current developments.
Prepares or assists with preparation of monthly balance sheet schedules.
Prepares or assists with preparation of bank reconciliations.
Provides assistance with annual budget planning and preparation.
Assists with monthly and quarterly scrubs of reserve accounts for Home Health and Hospice.
Assists with journal entry preparation and loading into PeopleSoft.
Assists with testing system changes.
Analyzes information, develops practical and creative solutions to problems, determines project conclusions and recommendations, and participates in the decision-making process, as appropriate.
Collaborates with team members to set goals and responsibilities. Contributes ideas/opinions, listens/responds to other team member's views.
Keeps supervisor informed of status of projects.
Actively pursuing a bachelor's or a graduate degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Excellent written/verbal communication and collaboration skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
