Lifetime Products is seeking a dynamic, driven individual to join the accounting team as a Corporate Tax Manager. Lifetime is a strong, local manufacturer dedicated to the USA with a tenured team looking for someone to help the team as they strive for excellence and continuous improvement. This ideal candidate will be a highly motivated achiever that has demonstrated success with accomplishing and overseeing tax compliance, tax accounting and reporting, and tax research. A key part of this position will be the company's tax strategies related to international tax, which currently would include a China Business Trust and Center of Excellence. The desired candidate will need to be familiar with international tax terms related to GILTI, FDII, provisions of Pillar 2 and global minimum tax reform. This individual will also assist in the preparation of the tax provision, indirect tax filings, monitoring transfer pricing, coordinating with external tax accounting firm, and other compliance and managerial accounting duties. This position requires full time attendance at our Corporate Headquarters in Clearfield, UT.
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to
Manage compliance and transaction flow for existing international tax strategies
Help with design and implementation of future tax strategies
Coordination of outside preparation and review of complex corporate income tax returns for US federal and state and foreign jurisdictions in accordance with applicable local country tax law
Ability to work with external advisors and coordinate projects and follow up
Assist in preparation of annual tax provision
Assist with transfer pricing analysis, including performing functional analysis and related calculations and documentation
Assist with tax projects with external firm such as R&D study, FMLA credit, cost segregation, and others
Work closely with others outside the department on projects and tasks
Onsite fulltime attendance, 5-day workweek.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting required
Masters of Taxation Degree preferred
CPA license preferred
Experience with US federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations required
Experience with manufacturing related issues, foreign tax laws and mergers and acquisitions a plus
Experience working for a global organization
Experience working in the consumer goods industry
5+ years of both public accounting and private industry experience preferred
Fundamental knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting skills
Familiarity with tax and indirect tax terms and filings
Deep understanding of international tax theory and application to US
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially strong in Excel) required
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O a plus
Demonstrated skills in prioritizing strict deadlines, problem solving, project management and completion
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels in a professional manner
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
High organizational skills and project management/implementation skills a must have
Must be able to pass a background check.
