This position will be part of the team that provides valuable global financial information and other financial reports to management for business decision making. As a global manufacturer these decisions can be extremely complex and this team is committed to providing valuable support. This position will report to the assistant controller and take part in critical month end tasks, internal and external audits, and various other projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
Support in month-end closing procedures, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations of various accounts.
Perform General Ledger account reviews to verify proper coding, documentation, and purpose.
Assist in gathering information and providing support for domestic, foreign, and internal audits.
Update and distribute monthly reports.
Impromptu reporting and specials projects, as assigned.
Assist in standardizing work and streamlining processes and procedures.
Communicate with various internal departments to obtain information about business transactions.
Think critically to resolve accounting discrepancies or irregularities and improve processes.
Qualifications:
Accounting Degree required (or soon to be completed)
Proficient in Excel
Treats others with respect and supports team's success
Ability to think critically, solve problems, and investigate anomalies
Humble and curious with a desire to learn
Must be able to pass a background check
