Now, ChromaDex has an opening for a full-time Accounting Clerk with strong accounting principles, attention to detail and commitment to excellence. In this role, the Accounting Clerk will perform general accounting duties, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, cash/bank reconciliations and month-end closings. In addition, as part of the accounting duties, the Accounting Clerk must be able to enter data and communicate with customers and vendors.

Main duties include:

  • Accounts Payable Processing and payment of vendor invoices and California Sales Tax. Communicating with other departments to ensure proper accounting for purchases and expenses.
  • Accounts Receivable Analyzing accounts receivable aging status and following up with delinquent accounts.
  • Cash and Bank Reconciliation
  • Ensuring that cash transaction entries accurately match the bank statement.
  • Prepare work papers and supporting documentation to be submitted to external financial auditors during the quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Month-End Closing General ledger account reconciliations and preparation of support documents for external financial auditors.

Requirements

Other duties may also include:

  • Filing Accurately filing records in a timely manner.
  • Provide sales reports, expense reports and other accounting information to other departments as requested.
  • Answering vendor calls as needed.

Required Competencies:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of Accounting Principles.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and
    Outlook).

Desired Skills/

Knowledge:

  • Experience with Great Plains Dynamics and CRM a plus. Training, Education and Experience:
  • Associates degree or higher in Accounting/Finance

This position manages the monthly and quarterly close process and internal and external audits across various accounting teams. Primary Responsibilities: * Develop, implement and maintain processes and procedures for accurate and timely analysis of financial data, ensuring best practices * Develop and maintain internal control structure and procedures for financial reporting * Resolve high level financial reporting issues * Manage the audit process and work with outside auditors regarding accounting and reporting issues * Oversee the preparation and analysis of internal and external reporting ensuring the quality, reliability and timeliness of the reports * Provide operational and technical accounting expertise to ensure compliance with GAAP, Company policies, rules, regulation and laws * Summarize findings on the monthly, quarterly or annual reports to senior management, auditors and regulators * Coordinates and supports the Company's strategic and operational planning * Support various special projects as required Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance * CPA certification * 5 or more years demonstrated progression in financial reporting and analysis * 5 or more years supervisory and leadership experience within the Accounting field * Strong working knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting expertise * Excellent PC skills: Excel, Word, and other financial reporting tool Preferred Qualifications: * Big 4 public accounting experience * Consolidations, eliminations, and intercompany accounting experience * Pharmacy, PBM or healthcare accounting experience Careers with Optum.
