Stanbridge University is seeking a dynamic candidate with excellent organizational skills to join our Accounting Department as an Accounting Clerk. The right candidate must be a highly motivated and organized individual, who can handle a variety of sensitive matters in a professional, mature, and discrete manner. Essential Functions

  • Excel Pivot table and VLOOKUPS.
  • Strong QuickBooks knowledge (Desktop)
  • Process bi-monthly payroll.
  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience.
  • Maintain Purchase Order processing system.
  • Processing and recording financial transactions, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Reconciling bank statements and verifying financial records to ensure accuracy.
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Managing and maintaining financial records, including filing and organizing documents.
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Providing support to the accounting team and other departments as needed.
  • Utilizing accounting software (QuickBooks) and other financial systems to input data and generate reports.
  • Communicating with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies or issues.
  • Assisting with auditing and compliance activities to ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • On-Site in Irvine CA
  • Associate's degree in accounting preferred
  • 2+years general accounting experience
  • Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
  • Must be highly skilled in use of QuickBooks, MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Must have very good verbal and written skills.
  • Must have excellent work habits especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.
  • $23-$25/hr. Salary is based on education and experience.

  • Work environment may include skills lab or bedside environments as required by program.
  • An incumbent is subject to contact with others, frequent interruptions, noise from talking or office equipment and demanding timelines.

Physical Demands:

  • The incumbent regularly sits for extended periods.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties as assigned to the program or department.
  • Proficient in operating electronic keyboards and other office machines.
  • Effective verbal communication skills in answering telephones and providing information with clarity and distinctness.
  • Ability to read fine print and operate computers with precision.
  • Ability to understand voices over the telephone and in person.
  • Able to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing between 10-25 pounds as needed.
