Accounting Clerk

Webster, TX (NASA) - Salary Range 50-60k (MUST BE US CITIZEN)

Job Brief

The Accounting Clerk will perform general accounting duties at NASA -Johnson Space Center duties and work within deadlines with or without direct supervision

Responsibilities

• Account reconciliation; Including issues, invoices, posting invoices
• Accruals
• Bank and Credit Card reconciliations
• Journal Entries
• Process expense reports
• Develops spreadsheets for account analysis and journal entries in order to keep records organized and standardized.
• Filing
• Month-end closing
• Periodic audits
• PO/Contracts/Subcontracts
• Other accounting tasks as assigned
• This person will work close with Accounting Clerks and Business Manager during year end close and year end audit.

Requirements

• At least 2 plus years of A/P experience recommended
• Prior knowledge of Maximo or Deltek Costpoint recommended
• Must be able to prove US Citizenship and pass a Federal background check
• Clean, neat and professional personal appearance
• Must have, and maintain, a valid driver’s license
• Must have the ability to communicate the English language both verbally and written in an effective manner.
• Basic understanding of Business Math
• Good Understanding of GL Accounting

Work Schedule

• 9/80 Schedule: Monday – Thurs 9 hours days, Fridays 8 hour days, with every other Friday as a flex Friday
