Verify, obtain approvals all invoices from vendors and associates in a timely, accurate manner in accordance with accounting policies and procedures. Manage cashier vault and employee banks, verify and remit daily deposits.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
a. Enter invoices into Birchstreet. Match to POs created in Birchstreet.
b. Work with Department Heads for any variances between PO and invoices.
c. Scan invoices and attached to Birchstreet invoice record.
d. Ensure all appropriate signatures and back-up attached.
e. Handle all vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor statements.
a. Maintain Cash Vault at issued amount. Perform and submit regular vault counts as directed by the controller.
b. Issue employee banks from vault, reintegrate employee banks returned to the vault, and insure monthly verification of all outstanding banks.
c. Verify daily drops by employees.
d. Combine all employee drops into a consolidated deposit for the hotel, and remit deposits to the bank via armored courier.
3.Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Prefer general accounting experience to include cash handling. Hospitality experience is preferred.
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to compile facts and figures. Ability to operate personal computer and calculator. Telephone etiquette skills needed.
