Berkheimer Business Services is seeking a well-organized, focus driven individual to join our Accounting Department at our office in Pen Argyl, PA!

This is a full-time opportunity!

  • Full-time: Monday-Friday 8am- 4pm

  • $13-$15/hour depending on experience

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the performance of various bookkeeping and clerical functions in relation to accounts receivable and accounts payable. The qualified candidate will possess the ability to use good judgment to resolve issues in a busy accounting department, and maintain high levels of organization. They will be able to quickly learn new computer systems, and will have the ability to sit for long periods of time. This opportunity is a great way to gain valuable work experience, and enhance your work/life balance!

Required Skills:

  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to work independently and in team environment

  • Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to use logical thinking to solve practical problems and interpret instructions

  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus!

Required Experience:

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • AND a minimum of 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

Techo-Bloc Group's headquarters are located in St-Hubert, Quebec Canada and the Company comprises three production facilities in Canada, five new leading-edge plants in the USA, and six wholesale distribution centers located in: Ontario, Ohio, North Carolina, Massachusetts and Illinois. This position can be based in Pen Argyl, PA, USA or St-Hubert, Qc, CAN. The successful candidate will fulfill the role of the position as described below. Job Description Reporting directly to the company president, the Vice president of operations shall have the primary responsibility of leading the day-to-day operations of the business in accordance with the strategic plan and operating capital budgets. The Vice president of operations develops and implements a variety of strategies to maximize profits while maintaining the highest level of quality, as well as working on improving the supply chain to positively impact cost, quality and delivery time. The Vice president of Operations provides oversight and guidance to subordinates as well as timely feedback to fellow executives on operations-related issues, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the company's products and services, in addition to government rules and regulations and industry best practices. Main duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Provide operations leadership for the overall business in Canada and the Unites States; * Lead a team of regional directors and managers and oversee 8 plants in 7 sites; * Implement a culture of continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Cost and a Customer Centric Environment; * Work in collaboration with the executive leadership team in developing and overseeing the long-term business strategies of the Corporation; * Ensure the development of health and safety practices for the Corporation and oversees compliance with those practices; * Oversee the development and monitoring of programs to maintain efficient, quality production operations; * Implements a culture of continuous improvement; * Oversee capital improvement projects including design, engineering, scheduling, purchasing, budgets and installations; * Evaluate operational processes and procedures, and develop strategies and implementation plans to improve and standardize all aspects of operations; * Ensure compliance with Standards and Operation Procedures (S&OP); * Motivate employees, be a positive source of influence, leading by example and encourage autonomous work by empowering employees; * Ensure the delivery of employee training and development plans to ensure succession planning and employee retention; * Ensure that the management team supports and implements procedures with their subordinates; * Meet with the management team on a regular basis to ensure that priorities are clear and well-coordinated; * Develop autonomous work force, give responsibility, recognize positive results and hold accountable when not delivered; * Oversee the development and analysis of performance metrics; * Maintain a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining and motivating a diverse group of top-quality employees at all levels. Qualifications * A minimum of 10 years of work experience in a production or operations position; including a minimum of 5 years' experience in a multi-site plant management role; * Bachelor's degree in the field of engineering, business management or related discipline preferred; * Experience in the manufacturing field; * Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time to various locations; * Advanced understanding of business planning and regulatory issues; * Deep understanding of data analysis and performance metrics; * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
