Amalgamated Sugar Company is seeking an experienced Factory Office Staff (Accounting Clerk) to join our team in Paul, ID. This position will contribute strong accounting and customer service skills to employees and outside vendors. The position requires a team player capable of critical thinking and experience handling confidential documents and information. This position will report to the factory accounting manager.

Responsibilities:

• Successfully communicate with managers, employees, customers, vendors.

• Accustomed to multi-tasking environment.

• Effectively prioritize and schedule assignments.

• Handle interruptions while working on assigned tasks and projects.

• Familiar with general clerical procedures with ability to handle accounting transactions in areas such as: payroll, receptionist, general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

• Able to analyze and evaluate data and procedures to prevent errors, solve problems, recognize inconsistencies, and prepare reports.

• Understand and can work with debits and credits.

• Understands concepts of balancing and reconciling.

• Know basic concepts of cash control.

• Be able to communicate both orally and in writing.

• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma

• Must be 18 years of age

• 3 to 5 years of clerical experience in accounting functions: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general/ subsidiary ledgers, chart of accounts, and GAAP.

• Accounting background preferred

• JD Edwards Experience Preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
