The Hilton Hawaiian Village is looking to add an Accounts Payable Clerk to their finance team! The perfect candidate for this position is someone that has a background in Accounts Payables and wants to grow that skillset within the hospitality industry.
Classification: Full Time
Shifts: Full availability to work a flexible schedule, including Holidays and Weekends is required.
Hourly wage: $24.44 to $30.55
What will I be doing?
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you would be responsible for paying all hotel bills in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Pay and record bills upon verification of accuracy, back-up documentation and appropriate approvals
Complete month-end responsibilities
Coordinate receiving tickets, purchase orders and invoices for proper coding and approval signature
Ensure all accounts are current, reconcile vendor statements and maintain record of payments
Conduct research and prepare reports, as needed
What are we looking for?
General knowledge of accounting operations, with emphasis on Accounts Payable. Aptitude for figures.
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Full availability to work a flexible schedule, including Holidays and Weekends is required.
One to two years experience in Accounts Payables preferred
Ability to access and accurately input information into a computer and computer software such as Agilysys, Elavon, OnQ, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to operate a 10-Key by touch, rapidly and accurately
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language sufficient to communicate with employees, staff and guests and perform all essential job functions.
Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry a maximum of 25 lbs.
Ability to accurately input/type 35 words per minute.
Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal direct supervision, within initial training period after employee begins work.
Basic mathematical skills necessary to perform mathematical calculations without error.
Ability to effectively deal with vendor and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.
