Are you looking for employment as an Accounting Clerk at an organization that is admired within the industry? Accountemps is seeking a skilled candidate for an Accounting Clerk position at a department. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Your responsibilities in this role

  • Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

  • Circulate financial information to journals and ledgers

  • Assist Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

  • Mend discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

  • Work with Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

  • Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

  • General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects Qualified applicants should send their resume to or call me at .

Requirements

  • Excellent data entry skills

  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

  • Comprehensive knowledge of billing

  • Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required

  • Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds
