We're looking for someone to join our team as a Accounting Cashier who:
Provides support to accounting activities by performing day-to-day cashiering and receipting duties. Works on routine accounting assignments within defined parameters, established guidelines and precedents.
Maintains cash log, exchanges and daily cash-up.
Performs periodic departmental petty cash audits and provides daily reports. Verifies charges for payment. Prepares grant reimbursement requests.
Write receipts, counts money received, compares with receipt totals and ensures totals balance. Prepares deposits ensuring completeness in accordance with banking procedures.
Prepares appropriate deposit bag for subsequent courier pick-up within established deadlines. Files receipt copies, batches original for posting and updates appropriate cash-flow sheet.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
You'll be successful with the following qualifications:
High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
Associate's / Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
