POSITION PURPOSE

This position will support the overall efficient operation of the accounting department and is required to comply with all internal controls over financial reporting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Reports to the Accounting Manager and requires working with other accounting personnel, internal departments, and external parties. Additionally, this position must comply with all Company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

• Maintain and reconcile asset and liability accounts

• Reconcile internal bank owned accounts

• Prepare monthly income statement variance analysis

• Prepare and/or submit daily and weekly Federal Reserve filings

• Assist with monthly board report data

• Record journal entries

• Assist with budget process

• Review monthly incentives

• Handle all aspects of property taxes

• Prepare ad hoc reports as needed

• Provide additional information and schedules for auditors and examiners

• Cross-train in other accounting functions

• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/EXPERIENCE:

Accounting/Finance Degree, commensurate experience, or combination of both

General knowledge of accounting rules and regulations

3+ years prior Banking experience preferred

Skills/Abilities:

Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs

Detail Oriented

Self-starter that can manage multiple projects

Must have analytical, problem solving and organizational skills

Must have oral and written communication skills

Ability to communicate effectively with management

Ability to work well with others

Ability to work under pressure

Hours: Monday

• Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

40 hours per week.
